The event took place at Paradise Island, Bahamas and the contest has been watched in over 180 countries through the TV Live telecast. The competition involved swimsuit, evening gown and interview phases, where a 12-member panel judged the winners.
Venezuela has won five Miss Universe titles, five Miss World and four Miss International crowns. That is more than any other country in the world.
Stefania Fernandez mother is Nadia Krupij Holojad and her father is Carlos Fernandez.
